We're delighted you're considering us for your Dachshund's care.

Before any first-time booking, we ask all new guests to complete a simple Induction process.
This allows us to fully understand your dog’s needs and ensure the very best experience for everyone.

⏳ SHORT-NOTICE FIRST-TIME BOOKINGS

​We will always do our very best to help with short-notice requests.
However, the Induction process does take time and diary availability may be limited if your holiday is approaching quickly.  If your plans are imminent, please contact us as soon as possible — we’ll do everything we can to accommodate you.

📝 Step 1 — YOUR ENQUIRY

​Before contacting us, please take a moment to read the following pages (also found in the main menu):

Once you’re happy with what is required, please get in touch via our Contact Us tab with your enquiry.
We normally reply by email (please check your spam/junk folder).

You will then receive:

• Our Registration Form

• Our Vet Release Form

Please return these along with your Dachshund’s up-to-date vaccination record.

🐶 Step 2 — MEET & GREET VISIT ​

​​Once your paperwork is complete and we’ve clarified any details, we’ll arrange your dog’s complimentary

1-hour Meet & Greet visit appointment.

​Appointments are usually at 11am on weekends (subject to availability).

Before your visit you’ll receive confirmation by Whatsapp of:
✔ Directions 
✔ Photos of our homeboarding licence, insurance and qualifications

✔ A video tour of our home
(The video tour helps keep excitement and anxiety levels down for the Sausages which otherwise would be heightened by unfamiliar visitors coming into our home)

On the day…

We’ll meet you at our gates and enjoy a relaxed 20-minute garden walk-around together (weather permitting).
You’ll then leave your Sausage with us for one hour while you pop for a coffee or snack at

Hill Farm Caravan Holiday Park Café or Gilbert’s Nursery Tearoom.  Both are just a short drive away.

During that hour, we spend quality time getting to know your dog and observing how they interact with our resident and guest dogs.
We’ll keep you updated and ask you to return after an hour to collect them.

​​​​🏡 Step 3 — BUILD-UP DAYS / OVERNIGHT TRIAL STAY

​Daycare

If your dog enjoys their Meet & Greet, they can join our daycare immediately.

​

​Boarding

For future stays of longer than 3 nights, we arrange an overnight Trial stay.

For dogs new to boarding or feeling a little shy or anxious, we may recommend several build-up days before their Overnight Trial stay.

You’ll receive regular updates throughout.

If your dog doesn’t settle or shows concerning behaviour, we may ask you to collect them.

Trial stays are non-refundable.

If your dog isn’t quite suited to our environment, we’ll be happy to recommend other boarders who may be a better match for their needs.
