Little Dave, so naughty yet brave,
Got into trouble he just couldn’t waive.

He chewed on a root-twig from a stubborn old tree,
Then came frothing and panicked straight over to me.

It had wedged in his mouth, right across at the back,
Causing him pain and a panic attack.

At first I couldn’t tell what was wrong with my Dave,
So we raced to the vet as an emergency save.

They had to sedate him to take the twig out,
He screamed at the cannula — wriggling about!

Though cheeky and stubborn, he put up a fight.
But brave little Dave came through it all right,

Now lesson well learned (we hope, anyway!),
No more chewing tree roots Dave!… at least for today 🙄🐾
