We’re delighted you’re considering us for your dachshund’s care.

To keep things calm, safe, and well organised for all dogs in our care, we follow a simple step-by-step process. This helps ensure every sausage settles in happily and enjoys their time with us.

These pages explain how we work and will help you understand whether your dog is likely to be a good fit for our home environment.

🐾 Step 1 – Getting Started

Once you've read through all of the information provided, please contact us via our Contact page with:

• The details of your enquiry

• Any dates you require 

• Any relevant background information

• Confirmation that you’ve read the Information pages described above.

We will let you know if we have availability for your dates and, if we do, we will email you our registration forms for your completion and return along with your dogs' up-to-date vaccination record.

🐶 Step 2 – Meet & Greet Visit

Once we've received your completed forms and vaccination record, you and your sausage will be invited to a complimentary Meet & Greet visit. This relaxed visit lasts around 1.5 hours and helps your sausage become familiar with us, our home, and our guest sausages at their own pace.  We'll also send you a short video tour of our home beforehand so you can see behind the scenes without disturbing the other sausages on the day of your visit.

What to expect:

• A relaxed 10–15 minute stroll around the gardens together (weather permitting)

• Your sausage stays with us for an hour or so, while you go and enjoy a coffee/snack nearby

• We assess how comfortable your dog is in our home environment and with the other sausages

• We'll send you video updates during the visit so you can see how they're getting on

• We'll provide you with feedback when you return, along with an explanation of the next steps

🏡 Step 3 – Making a Booking

​For Boarding:

🐾 OVERNIGHT TRIAL STAY

If your first booking is for a break-away lasting longer than 3 nights, your Sausage will need to return for a one-off overnight Trial sleepover first, just to make sure they will be happy here for a longer stay.

🐾 BUILD-UP DAYS
For the more sensitive sausages who may find staying overnight a bit too much too soon, we may suggest a few shorter 'build-up days'  first, to help build your sausage's confidence.  We will always advise what we feel is best for your dog.

🐕 PEACE OF MIND

We keep you regularly updated every time your Sausage stays with us. If your dachshund decides this isn’t quite the right environment for them, we’ll tell you immediately. While trial nights are non‑refundable, we’re always happy to suggest other licenced homeboarders who might be better suited.

For Daycare

🐾 IMMEDIATE ENTRY

If your Sausage had a great time at their Meet & Greet, they can start daycare straight away!

🎉 Welcome to the Little Sizzlers Family

Once your Sausage has successfully completed their Trial stay, they officially become part of our Little Sizzlers family. From then on, booking future daycare or holidays is simple — just drop us a message on WhatsApp whenever you’d like to check availability
